Visualizing process data in the Web with Panasonic technology
To visualize data in the Internet, Panasonic now offers not only the necessary hardware (FP Web-Server with expansion unit) but also software fine-tuned to work with the hardware (FP Web-Designer, FP Web-Configurator)
Using the multifunctional FP Web-Server unit, you can access Panasonic PLCs via
Ethernet networks (Internet, Intranet), exchange data bidirectionally, send data
via e-mail or FTP, or display data on Web pages. With our new FP Web-Server
Expansion Unit, you can log up to 32GB of data on a conventional SDHC memory
card and transmit the data via FTP to a central system. In addition, the unit's
USB port makes it easy to connect the unit to Panasonic PLCs. Via the RS485
interface, the expansion unit can not only communicate with our PLCs but also
with our Eco-POWER METERS KW1M and KW8M.
You can access the Web-Server with a standard PC or smartphone (iPad, iPhone).
Process data can thus be displayed inexpensively in the Intranet or World Wide
Web.
To create websites for the FP Web-Server, Panasonic offers the FP Web-Designer.
With this software, process images can be generated easily and visualized in an
Internet browser. To accomplish this, you require no programming skills in HMTL,
PHP, Javascript or Java. Process images can be customized creatively based on
the needs on the project leader.
For end devices that do not support Java, a microbrowser is available. The
microbrowser makes smartphones, Windows CE systems, etc. compatible with Java.
Of course, the software is also available as an App for iPad and iPhone.
